EVENT DESCRIPTION

Help TRLC build and open new hiking trails at the Horseshoe Road Nature Preserve near Creedmoor. Volunteers are currently building two miles of new trails at this preserve. No previous experience needed. We provide the tools, training, and supervision. Sign up for one or more work days. Each volunteer day will be led by a TRLC staff member or experienced volunteer. Trails will be constructed using hand-tools including loppers, hand saws, rakes, and shovels. Volunteers may help construct wooden footbridges and benches and install signs along the trail. Tools and safety equipment will be provided by TRLC. New volunteers will be paired with experienced volunteers who will provide training and support. Once the trails are opened to the public, visitors will have access year-round during daylight hours. Volunteers can look forward to enjoying the trails that they help build for years to come!
